SSL XLogic G-Series Compressor

The Chapel Studios gives you the SSL G-Series compressor, the latest version of the compressor used in the legendary SL 4000 console, which uses the same classic twin VCA design as its console counterpart.

The XLogic G-Series Compressor is a 1U rack mounting stereo buss compressor. Combined with improved input and output circuitry, this unit provides improved audio performance, while retaining the dynamics characteristics that have provided numerous hit mixes for the world's best sound engineers.

Fantastic on tracking drums and piano, this unit is stereo or mono, not dual mono. This is one of the attributes that leads to its tight stereo imaging control. We use the G-Series for its classic mix finalising capabilities. A key element in the sound of many classic recordings is the punch and drive of the mixes created by the G-Series compressor.
