The Chapel Studios have a collection of PSP plugins in our arsenal inclding the renowned PSP Vintage Warmer as well as the Vintage Warmer 2, Microwarmer, Pseudo Stereo, Stereo Analyser, Stereo Controller and Stereo Enhancer.
The PSP Vintage Warmer 2 is the latest high-quality digital simulation of an analog-style, a single- or multi-band compressor/limiter. Here at Chapel we feel that the superb warmth from the rich analog tone is something special and is a regular for us whether soft knee compression or brick wall limiting.
The PSP PseudoStereo is a great way of turning a mono track into stero. At Chapel we have made fantastic use of this for makeing stereo tracks when remastering old mono tracks. It also comes in great use for making particlar samples or recordings that clients may have into stereo to fit better in a mix we are working on at the studio.
The PSP Stereo Enhancer is one of the best ways on manipulating a stereo file. It allows us to widen the spacial image of a stereo file. The 3 different modes widen the image to varying degrees depending on the recording of the original stero file.
The PSP PianoVerb2 is a great way of turning average piano sound (both real and sampled) into something amazing. It uses more than 10 separate filters to mimic the behavior of real piano strings. The ability to transpose and detune the strings means that some weird and wonderful sounds can be created and ispire the creative process.
The PSP MasterQ operates at all sampling rates which is extremely useful for jobs that arent recorded at our own studios. The versitile nature of the 7 filters built into the MasterQ give a huge amount of precision whilst retaining flexibility.
The PSP Echo is in regular amongst the engineers at The Chapel Studios. It is extremely powerful yet the design is so simple that it can be used on a huge range of instruments including drums and guitars. The tape echo effects, ping pong delays and loads of other settings mean that the creative potential of this plugin is huge.
