At Chapel Studios we use a combination of Izotope tools throughout our production process. Products such as Nectar 2 and Alloy 2 have become essentials when it comes to mixing. Nectar 2 brings a vocal track to life with the only complete set of tools designed specifically for voice. Adding impact with modeled plate reverb, harmonic saturation, and a wealth of creative effects has never been so easy.
iZotope Ozone 6 mastering software allows us here at the studio to elevate a good-sounding mix to a professional-sounding master. iZotope’s critically acclaimed mastering software has all the tools for us to produce a full and polished sound.
The award winning RX4 audio repair and enhancement software is one of the most useful tools from iZotope. There are plenty of time where liver performances have been delivered to the studio for mixing only to have clicks and pops in the most awkward of places. We use the RX4 software to remove these with amazing accuracy to polish the performance with a high quality mix that it deserves. We have also it to be particularly useful when removing hum from instruments or amplifiers. The hum removal and denoiser settings keep all the amazing tone that our clients wanted with none of the harsh hiss and hum.
We have also recently upgraded to the latest sample-based synthesizer from iZotope, Iris 2. This robust synth combines the power of a sampler, the flexibility of a modular synth, and the fun of spectral filtering. There are loads of really innovative patches that are really inspiring. At Chapel, in our constant quest for new ideas and new sounds we have found it extremely useful to build our own synths and design our own filters using the Iris 2 software.
