We are lucky enough to offer the only commercially available SSL Duality console in London.
The Duality is Solid State Logic's flagship model and features the same circuitry as the E, G and K series consoles that earned SSL the legendary reputation that they have. Modernizations such as DAW control, dual mic-pre's on each channel using both the beautifully clean SuperAnalogue and Variable Harmonic Distortion (valve or transistor) circuits on every channel and TFT meter displays
The Duality is SSL's flagship desk. It takes the best features of the 9000K series, mixes it with the kinds of control and integration concepts of the AWS 900+ then adds the visual concepts introduced in the C Series via the TFT displays. It's also here, at the Chapel's recording studio. However, it wouldn't be anything without creative talent to know how to operate it. For that we have some of the top record producers and engineers in London available for you to hire. This desk brings new heights to how we conceptualise sound, it's already setting a new standard for audio manipulation. and it's pioneering the next step in the evolution of recording music.
The SSL Duality desk delivers pristine analogue audio quality with digital manipulation possibilities unheard of until now. It features SSL's patented Super Analogue format. And if thats not enough, the Duality features two of everything, two sets of eq (E and G series), two sets of compression, and two sets of mic pre's. Whatever kind of sound you're looking for, you will get it and more with this beast. You'll also find that we are the first commersial recording studio in London to house the SSL Duality recording console. Our record producers have hand picked this desk as the perfect machine for all of our projects. For everything from recording to mixing, to voice-overs, to grammys: this desk blows the competition away!

Here at The Chapel Recording Studios, we know how important it is to have the worlds best sounding effects at your fingertips. Enter the the Bricasti M7 stereo reverb unit and M10 remote.
With a new standard in algorithmic reverberation the M7 not only allows you or your engineer to create the most realistic sounding acoustic environments to date, it also allows for the creation of new and unheard spaces.
The Briscati is capable of full 24bit/192KHz performance.

Some call it the Orville processor on steroids, and with good reason. The Eventide H9000 delivers 8 channels of processing to produce some of the richest and most powerful sounding effects on the market.
The H9000 delivers lush choruses, FM panners, sample-and-hold filters, vibratos, modulating delays, multiband compression, phase shifting, micro pitch shifting, and vocoding. If you want an effect, Chapel has it.
Some of the features of the H9000 include AES/EBU, ADAT, stereo S/PDIF digital I/O at 24-bit fidelity and effects up to 96kHz sampling frequency coupled with ultra-flexible routing.

Designed for recording, mixing and mastering applications, the single rack space API 5500 is a two-channel EQ package with an all-discrete signal path that combines the classic features of the API 550B four-band EQ module with the boost and cut precision of the 550D and the 550M mastering equalizer.

The API 3124 is a high quality, four input, four output pre amp. It has 4 pristine mic pre amps giving the classic API sound to any microphone recording.
In addition, 4 instrument ins on the front connect directly from pre-amp to the op-amp meaning that low level signals such as guitar and bass can be easily amplified without the need for a DI box.
The high impedance inputs can take high input levels making them ideal for keyboards. In all, this classic pre amp provides us with superb quality audio for any music producer or voice over artist at our London recording studio.
The 3124 pre-amps have the best transient response available making them an ideal choice for drums. Their up-front, mid-forward sound also makes them incredible on distorted guitars.
These pre-amps sounds fantastic when used carefully and deliver a very clear sound but the real magic lies in their analogue distortion capabilities. Pushing them hard gives that natural analogue compression that so many strive for which brings out the impact of drums and thickens up guitar and bass signals.
This set of pre-amps shows The Chapel Studios dedication to versatility.

Here at The Chapel Recording Studios London, we know how important it is to have the worlds purest sounding preamps. Enter the Neve 1073 Dual Mic Premap.
The 1073DPA provides the legendary sound of Neve in a remarkably simple format. Two rear-panel Mic inputs and Line inputs feed dual Class A gain stages, with adjustable Gain control and selectable 48V available on the Mic inputs. Class A analogue outputs in XLR format are also found on the rear panel, controlled via adjustable front-panel ±10dB Trim controls.

The VT-737sp brings its magic touch to everything in the studio. Run the dullest, most sterile mic through the VT-737sp and you will be amazed at how warm and sweet it sounds. This 2-rackspace combo brings a new standard to high-end audio, taking sound to places you never thought possible and giving you precise creative control. The VT-737 will energize recordings.

Here at The Chapel Recording Studios, we know how important it is to have the worlds most proffesional and cutting edge equipment. Enter the NEVE 33609/JD Compressor
Hand-built to its original 1970's specifications, the Neve 33609JD Stereo Compressor offers comprehensive limiting and compression facilities for music recording, mastering, post production and broadcast applications. The combination of hand-wired transformers and gain reduction circuitry produces a sound quality which is often duplicated, yet seldom achieved by any other compressor / limiter. Coupled with the unit's unparalleled ease of use, this inimitable sound quality has made the 33609 a worldwide studio standard for three decades.

The Chapel Studios gives you the SSL G-Series compressor, the latest version of the compressor used in the legendary SL 4000 console, which uses the same classic twin VCA design as its console counterpart.
The XLogic G-Series Compressor is a 1U rack mounting stereo buss compressor. Combined with improved input and output circuitry, this unit provides improved audio performance, while retaining the dynamics characteristics that have provided numerous hit mixes for the world's best sound engineers.
Fantastic on tracking drums and piano, this unit is stereo or mono, not dual mono. This is one of the attributes that leads to its tight stereo imaging control.
We use the G-Series for its classic mix finalising capabilities. A key element in the sound of many classic recordings is the punch and drive of the mixes created by the G-Series compressor.

The API 2500 is a stereo bus compressor used to bring out more punch and tone in your mix. It gives you a selection of older or newer sounding compression ranging from the type found in the old API 525, 1176, and the fairchild.
Essentially, once you have finished your mix, the API is then used to bring everything together and add that extra bit of sparkle and polish. It really injects a punch to your mix that you can't get out of the competitive units.
